Ordered the blank for my motorcycle key and called me when it was ready. I

I came into the store today with an cylinder tumbler lock & needed it to be rekeyed to another commercial key cylinder such as Corbis that Clark Devon Hardware said was not possible due to compatibility issues but Brian an employee at this store painstakingly searched through dozens of cylinders and was able to find one compatible and also rekeyed the tumbler so that all my commercial tenants could use the same key that already opens the main door.

He did this all within 20 minutes and as a commercial building engineer, I was super impressed with the service I received today including from Locksmith Charles whom in passing was offering sound & good advice!

Had a good experience previously with a guy who came out to change locks for me but customer service in the shop needs a lot of work. The kid who cut keys for me was so rude, it's hard to believe. Too bad a local shop is so unfriendly. They are also expensive so planning to go elsewhere next time.

Called and was pleased to learn they had kept a key on file for me. Excellent support and quick turnaround.

Trusted and long established company! When I first move to Evanston I call Johnson's Locksmith for my new place and the service guy Tim was Awesome! Then I recommend them to my brother and he also thinks service and locks are top noch! Writing this review now because I just moved and need new keys and locks. I stopped by Johnson's location in Evanston and set up an appointment. The guys behind the counter answered door lock questions, I am happy to know these guys are experts and know their stuff. Use Johnson's! I won''t use anyone else. They've worked on my condo's locks several times, always very professional, efficient, prompt and a very good price. Most of all, I trust them. Very important when someone is replacing my locks!

Johnson lock is my favorite. I've known these guys for 30 plus years. Chris is amazing. My most recent use was a door closer for work. They came out the next day and even offered a heavy duty model. Always a good experience.

We locked ourselves out of our house! Johnson's was able to send a locksmith within less than an hour! He made short work of getting into our house. Johnson's was recommended by another locksmith who wasn't able to help. They are located about 15-20 minutes from us (in an adjacent suburb). We really appreciated their help because there was no other way to get in and we were desperate!

Best place to have your locks serviced. Have an old antique toolbox that needed the lock adjusted as the bar became loose. Fellow room Johnson's Lock came out to my car and adjusted it for me right then and there in less than 5 minutes. Best part was he did everything in a friendly, professional, non-condescending manner. This goes a long way, especially when you see some of the other locksmith places reviews that say they received more attitude than friendly assistance.

These guys are great! The lock on one of our clinics broke and they came out same day, fixed it and it's good as new. I asked about why this particular lock had broken and the tech took the time to explain why the issue occurred which I appreciated.

I was staying at a good friend's place for the weekend while she was out of town and we needed an extra set of keys for me due to timing differences. Literally no one in Chicago could make a copy of the front door key and we thought I was going to have to pay a ridiculous amount of money to get a hotel instead. Johnson's to the rescue! Not only did they order the key and get it the next day but they copied it for us in literally less than a minute. The key itself cost $4 so this was not motivated by profit but rather old fashioned excellent customer service!

Extremely good for keys and locks. They can find almost any key and any lock for your needs throughout the world. All people who work there are very nice and also extremely able to diagnose problems with locks and to get locks from other countries if necessary. This place is excellent and you will never ever be shorted from these people and from their blocks they have at stock and what they can get if necessary.

Had a somewhat urgent situation, and they were able to come out the same day. The technician was very knowledgeable, kind, and efficient. I found his expertise very helpful in making some changes. The pricing was less than I expected. I would definitely use them again, and would highly recommend!

This company is really great. I had an old door with a very rare lock that wasn't working. I tried replacing with a newer version which took forever to find and the new lock did not fit in the current holes. I wasn't happy about making new holes in my door so I tried finding a locksmith who could repair the original lock. After several locksmiths, this company was able to repair it and was very reasonable with the cost, its hard to believe but the repair was cheaper than the new lock i had purchased.

Its great to have businesses like this still around. The staff are also friendly and they greet you as they walk by. There is an older gentleman who sits in the front office and he's got a great sense of humor which makes the business more inviting.

I LOVE THESE GUYS! Tim was outstanding, not only with customer service but with his commitment to do an incredible job. Not only did he work past 5 PM to make sure the job was done right but had to come back the next day to make sure it was working in proper order. Our iron gate to our backyard of our condo building was no longer shutting on it own with the swing arm and the lock broke after years of outdoor elements. Tim fixed the lock immediately and then changed the swing arm that gave him considerably more hassles.

He would not leave until he felt it was working 100% to our satisfaction. Worth every penny the association spent. Thank you Tim! This is why we keep coming back to you guys!
