Critical: Professionalism Had a question about a cabinet lock. Salesman completely uninterested in helping. Wish he would have just said he couldn't help instead of acting irritated by what was, apparently, an unusual question.

David gave me an option without having to come to showroom. He matched price. Told him I'd rather do business with local folks. He appreciated that. I told him what I wanted and price range.didn't get what I thought I wanted, but better company and his expertise made all the difference. Thanks David, will see you soon.

I had a great experience with this company. I called them about rekeying my locks at my home. They got back to me right away and sent a technician the next day. He was very professional and did all the work quickly the same morning. He was able to get multiple locks all keyed to the same key, and made the copies in his truck. Great service and would definitely recommend them.

Had an old broken lock that was on an old back door. The lock was so old, it is no longer made. Forrest gave me some options--from just putting a bolt across the back door to replacing the door completely with a new lock. His solution was taking the old lock back to the shop, finding a lock that could be adapted to the door. It was the perfect solution and much cheaper than a new door/lock.

I was impressed by Forrest's thinking out of the box and willingness to solve a problem by not just doing the cheapest (bolt across the door) or the easiest (telling me to just get a new door).

Forrest did a housecall and fixed my front door lock well and efficiently. Very good. Very professional on a job that was not easy on an old Boston building.

Boston lock is great but don't call the number listed on the google profile. It is a different company and they try to scam you. They pretend to be Boston lock and then try high pressure to get you to pay ten times the amount they quoted. Go to boston lock's website and use the real number. Google did not except my edit to their profile.

I had to have all my locks re-keyed. Heard very good things about This Company Boston Lock and Safe, So I called them, the gentleman David who answered the phone was very polite and professional. I asked how long would it take to have someone out to my place to change all my locks and make it so 1 key opened all doors? I was asked how many doors? I told him 6.

He said they were busy and couldn't get out to me for 3 days. That was prefect for me. 3 days later I received a call back from David, letting me know that his locksmith would be out to my place that day by 11am. The locksmith arrived around 10:45am. Was very polite and professional. Thank you so much Boston Lock and Safe for the great job, well done.

Outstanding for work with key duplication. They have every blank imaginable including some very old and rare keys. I have never personally asked them for anything special but for decades I have heard from others that these are the guys to go to when no one else has been able to get the key or lock job done for you. The oldest and the best!

I've been here twice to bring in in locks to get rekeyed to the key I have on all the other doors at my house. They are pleasant, professional, and it was cheap. It's the oldest lock company in the country and the shop is a bit like going into a museum with lots of safes.

This is a truly exemplary business -- nothing like the kid at the hardware store trying to copy your key on the wrong blank. They know everything about locks and have a huge stock of hard to find key blanks. I've always found their customer service to be friendly and generous with their time. Most recently, I had a broken lock that had many users, so the replacement had to be rekeyed to fit the existing keys.

They took my key and phone number, did the research, and called me a couple of days later to say it was ready. And for a full-service business, their prices seemed quite reasonable.

These guys are fantastic. I've had tons of keys that Home Depot, Lowes, etc. couldn't duplicate for all kinds of reasons- this place is professional and efficient and I've never once struck out here. Always my go-to.

If you're looking to get a key made, especially older and rarer keys, this is the place to go. I went to Home Depot, they didn't have the right key blanks to make the key. This place had it. I don't even bother going to Home Depot anymore, I just come straight here. They have a wall of key blanks like nothing I've ever seen. They are a bit curt, ok, actually they really don't talk to you much at all, hence only 4 stars.

I usually don't review random non-restaurant businesses, but I saw a Boston Lock & Safe truck on the street today and figured I'd write. I've dealt with these guys for years, for all sorts of stuff, and they're top-notch.

There is no need to mention the importance of reading a review of a company before giving them your business. So, read the following lines before calling New England Lock & Safe Co. I contacted them because I needed some work done in my office. The person who answered the phone was extremely rude and unprofessional. I didn't mine him and was focusing on getting the service.

He said that I was scheduled for a Wednesday at 10am. No technician arrived so I called to find out what happened. Same person answered the phone, who told me that a technician will be there sometimes that week. As you guessed, no one has arrived for three weeks. I called again and was assured that someone will be there that week. No one came. after two months of calling and false promises were given a technician has arrived.

No proper tools, no experience, no knowledge whatsoever! Not many companies specialized in locks, safes, doors and buzzers in the Boston area. This company advertise their services under many different names due to the bad reputation they have. Be aware and stay away from New England Lock & Safe Co that also do business as Boston Lock and Safe and New England Safe.

What great service! I broke the key inside the lock of my car's rooftop carrier with my family's luggage in the carrier. I tried in vain to fix it at home but couldn't do it. I went to Boston Lock, and even though they were about to close, one of their staff spent at least 1/2 hour outside at my car working to get the lock working again. Thank you!

Had a vandalized lock that needed fixing. Boston lock arrived in a timely fashion and fixed the lock. The service man was very pleasant to deal with.
