I needed a lock replaced called them one afternoon they were about to come out the next day. They had estimated an afternoon arrival called if they can come early where at my home within 20 minutes of the call, replaced my lock quickly, cleanly and even showed me quick tips on how to prevent future issues. This is my 2x time calling them and they have always been very professional.

I had to get my trunk lock fixed and I checked with my mechanic first and he said I needed the cable and the whole cylinder plus labor so then something told me to go to able locksmith and thank god I did because the professionals here were very knowledgeable and crafted when it comes to this expertise. My locksmith name was Alex and let me tell you he is the best on Long Island and surrounding areas hands down.

He made what can get very complicated and expensive seem very smooth and easy and not only that - he also said i never needed to change my cylinder and cable that attached the door lever to the cylinder, this was a true game changer for me because it saved lots of hassle, time and money. Not only did he save me that, he let me walk right in and he did it on the spot, at a very fast time.

I brought my 2003, Honda to Able Locksmith about an hour before closing because the key was difficult to get into the cylinder. There was times I couldn't get it in at all! They were very responsive and got it done before closing. Fast, efficient, and professional service. Thank you.

They were very helpful changing the locks on my doors. The price was worth it compared to buying all new door knob sets. I dropped the locks off in the morning and they were ready by early afternoon. They will also come to your house and do it there if you prefer. I'll definitely use this business again if the need arises.

Most of the time able locksmith is right on the ball with repairing your locks on your doors and having the right equipment to work on your alarm systems. If you need equipment that is not in their large selection they are more then happy to special order what you need. The response time for emergency repairs is fair but getting them on the phone can be (but is not always) an issue. Other then that this is an excellent locksmith for the price they charge.

I was able to get spare keys made for my Jeep in less than ten minutes. The prices are fair, service is fast, employees are polite, and the dogs are adorable (and well-behaved!)

My wife locked herself out of the house because she dropped her key down a grate. Called Able. A young man showed up to change the lock. He was angry from the time he pulled up. He was very rude to my wife, insisting she needed a new lock and could not make a replacement key. He told her it would be 375 dollars. When my wife said thats a lot of money, he said he could do it for 200 cash but wouldnt provide a receipt.

My wife said she would as long as she could verify with the owner. He said he was the owner but forget the discount, now. She felt she was scammed. Bad encounter from start to finish. Avoid these angry people who take advantage of people who are in a pickle. Never again

This is the way all businesses should run. Called about having my locks changed because my Landlady kept coming in while I was away. Spoke to someone right away he said he could not be discreet as I hoped. But 10 minutes later someone came and in minutes he had the lock apart. Because I paid with a credit card the workman had to go back to the shop to authorize it. When he came back he used his own car so as to not create suspicion. With the $60 additional charge for the emergency it was well worth it!

So we come home only to find our Schlage push button lock had a low battery. No problem, I have a key. The cylinder just spun and spun. We walked the house looking for a way to break in but I keep it like Fort Knox. Oh well, call the local locksmith. I call Able and explain the issue and he says, "on a Schlage you have to push the key in really far." Hurray! It worked. A great job knowing his locks. Next time I need a new lock or key I know where I am going.

Able Locksmith came to my rescue at Public Storage in Bay Shore. After hiring a locksmith from another company for slightly less money, I was stuck in a terrible situation. That guy came without proper tools and couldn't get the storage unit lock off (the key had broken off inside the lock). His tools were inadequate and he drilled and hammered away for an hour getting nowhere, so I finally called the young man in charge of the storage facility, who told the guy what equipment he needed to remove the lock, but the man wouldn't listen and to continue to drill and hammer.

I said that if he didn't have any success in the next 10 minutes, that I would call another locksmith who did have the correct equipment. He refused to stop or to leave unless I paid him the full amount previously agreed upon, which I said I wouldn't do unless the lock was removed. The young man advised me to call the police if the fellow wouldn't leave, so after ten minutes, that's what I did.

He took off very fast then, but only after I paid him $29 for the service call. I had no problem with this. I felt sorry for him, in a way, because he just didn't have the equipment or the training to do the job. To make a long story short, a competent and well-mannered man arrived from Able Locksmith within fifteen minutes and had the lock off within two minutes! He was a total professional. To save few dollars, I cost myself an hour and a half and a lot of aggravation. Able Locksmith earns my full recommendation and five stars.

I have passed this place for years but never had the need to stop in. That is, until this week. I called first and spoke to Alex who was very kind and informative. I then drove over to see if he could open an old trunk I've had for way too long. Upon entering, you will find a very welcoming and clean and spacious area. Alex came out to the car and opened it right there. If I ever need any kind of key or locksmith service again, this is the first place I will go. Thank you!

I contacted Able Locksmith to repair/install my Baldwin handset. Chad came the same day that I called, installed the new handset and explained why the old one failed! He then made the necessary adjustments to my door insuring that the new handset worked properly. He charged me the price quoted over the phone; no games, no gimmicks and did a fantastic job.
