Mass Lock

As always, MassLock does a wonderful job again for a reasonable price! Dan removed an electronic combination lock from the door and saved us money by putting the same doorknob back on. He was full of great advice on other lock-related issues too! I have been a MassLock customer for over 20 years and ALWAYS been satisfied with their service, honesty and expertise.

Dan the technician came right on time. His craftsmanship was noticeable as I watched him work. I have a very old house with old doors which required an experienced and skilled locksmith. The price was excellent for the quality of work. I highly recommend Masslock.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Have an old mortise lock that wasn't working. Went to a large chain hardware store and got a story about "well a mortise lock is custom, so you need to remove it and bring it here so we can measure it. Otherwise if we order it and it's the wrong size you can't return it." Tried a local locksmith -- chased multiple times "I'm busy try me later".

Now I'm wondering if I'm stuck and have to replace the door itself for big $$$. Finally called MassLock 10:30 am and they had a tech on site mid-afternoon. Dan from MassLock arrives takes one look and says "oh sure, we can fix this no problem I can do it right now." He took the time to explain the problem and the repair, worked quickly and efficiently, and even recommended a polish to brighten up the brass fittings. MassLock goes in my book as a service keeper. The wife and I are in the Boston area to help our son with the move into his just purchased home. We needed the locks re-keyed and a deadbolt/door jam reinforcement job. MassLock's general online reviews looked solid and they seemed like a well established business. I called and the person who answered was polite and seemed happy to have our patronage.

They left it up to us to determine the best appointment day and time. Dan showed up two days later at the appointed time and even texted with an ETA. Dan was friendly and very professional. He assessed the job and was able to produce keys which worked smoothly with the rekeyed locks. Dan installed a high quality deadbolt with the right patina and strong wood screws which extended into the door frame stud. Everything looked clean and the locks worked very smoothly. Lost my car key and was referred to Masslock Inc. I can say that I am fully satisfied by the service provided. Good customer service and everything was done within less than 2 hours. Amazing staff and service! Super friendly. Went in with the plan to get a new car key because mine was about to break. That would've been like $165 but then one of the staff members said he could fix it and it would be $50. He did an amazing job! I would recommend this place to others.

Lost my car key and was recommended by a friend to go to Mass Lock in Malden, I'm glad I listened, they were so professional they had the key made and programed to my car in about 20 minutes plus it was less then half price from the dealer. Thank You Mass Lock.

Update: got a call a week later saying they'd received the necessary equipment and would credit the 20$. Sounds good but it will be a few days before I can get there. They seemed great but it turns out they were BS-ing.after charging me 20$ to cut my car key, they said that model couldn't be programmed for my truck. They we're supposed to get a model in house the next day, but 3 days later they still don't and I'm getting the impression it was all hot air to justify charhing me the 20$. Disappointing! I'll update if things change.

I will only go here for any lock issue. Knows his stuff and many others do not. Very friendly staff always and reasonable prices. I'd give 10 stars if I could. Best locksmith, key maker, fob programmer ever! Also always fast service. Never gave to wait but a minute or 2. You're greeted as soon as you walk in, can't rate high enough. I'll never go anywhere else for anything lock related. Been a few times now and always same professional and friendly service. Don't bother anywhere else!

I bought a generic key fob on Amazon. Brought it to them and they had it programmed to my Nissan Altima with no issues in under a half hour. The guy was extremely polite. The price was great. I definitely recommend them as a go to place.

Can't imagine a better or more professional experience. We called on a Thursday and had a locksmith onsite the next day. Communication was smooth and thorough, and facilitated by email and text. The cost of the job was articulated immediately and all of the work was done quickly. A bonus was that extra keys were cut on the spot which saved us a trip to the hardware store. Highly recommended.

We lost the keys of our garage, they came the same day, where efficient and nice. I will definitely go back there if necessary.

Our mailbox key stopped working and was incredibly difficult to use, so we called to get the lock replaced. Mass Lock came out on time (actually a few minutes early) and quickly remedied the situation. Dan was a friendly and knowledgeable as he also helped diagnose what was wrong with our front door knob being loose. I used Mass Lock before this to make keys and it went just as well (Home Depot was unsuccessful and more troublesome). I'll be headed there soon to get the parts to fix my doorknob. I highly recommend Mass Lock.

Paul did great work and was very kind and easy to work with. I will definitely be going back to them for my future projects and would recommend Mass Lock to anyone. They quoted me very fairly and listened to what I said as well as made suggestions where needed.

I never thought that I would race about a locksmith, yet here I am. We swapped our keys out for a keypad system and it was a great experience and decision every step of the way. I really appreciated how knowledgeable and professional they are. They really know their stuff and go out of their way to get the job done right. Great service at very reasonable and fair prices. I just cant say enough great things about how happy we are, both with the process and end result. Be sure to use them. I know I will again!

These guys are FANTASTIC. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone. I recently needed to have the intercom in my building repaired. We had a short time to turn it around. Paul came out quickly and gave a estimate. He explained everything and immediately got us on the schedule. Not only did they come in and get it done quickly and correctly, they came in $200 under the estimate. They could have easily just replaced out the amplifier and I would have been none the wiser. But Paul was honest and didn't do unnecessary work. A+ service all the way!

I have used mass lock for over 20 years. Paul, Paul, Paul, Paul and Emily are all great to work with. (Almost Everyone is named Paul so it's easy to remember names) I own a business that has 10 trucks and I like to have extras because my guys always lose the keys. Hardware stores either can't make these keys or they mess them up. They also did the padlocks for my trucks. All the same key. Way better than the hardware store. It's worth the extra time to drive there.

Masslock came out to our office to install a door closure. They were great! The locksmith was right on time for the appointment. He was very knowledgeable and helpful We also needed keys made for file cabinets that didn't have keys and he was able to do that without a problem. I didn't even book my appointment for that service and he didn't worry about the extra time he spent or additional s. I would recommend them in the future for the office or home. Update We had an emergency today (locked out of storage closet) they showed up in 20 minutes. still impressed!

Im a new home owner and I was looking for a reliable locksmith service. A friend of mine recommended this company and I was not disappointed. The service was professional, efficient, and reasonably priced. They will be my first call if anything else comes up

From the very beginning of my experience with this company it was not good. I called and spoke to the owner and told him the service that i needed and he put me on the schedule, or so I thought. I took the morning off work because he gave me a morning time frame that they would be out to do an estimate and no one showed up. I called and they apologized and insured me someone would be out next day.

I could not take anymore time off work, so my grandmother was left to meet with them alone. They did show up the following day as promised however, the employee tried to sell her on other things than we were asking for. She told him to give me a call and discuss it. He called me a day later to go over things and informed me of all the other things we "needed".

I advised him that we wanted a quote for what we asked for and nothing more. I texted him my email address, as he requested and I still have not received a quote or a phone call from anyone at the company. Working at a very successful body shop where customer service is imperative, I know how customer should be treated. From beginning to end with this company there was nothing good at all about their customer service and it is very disappointing. Others may have had a wonderful experience with them but I did not and would not recommend them.

I bought a used Touratech locking GPS mount for my motorcycle. It is a specialized piece of equipment that is manufactured in Germany. Unfortunately, the seller no longer had a key. I brought the unit to Mass Lock and (unsurprisingly) they'd never seen one before. However, they took on the challenge, were able to open the lock, and were able to produce working keys even though standard American blanks did not fit the lock. I was impressed by their willingness to tackle a difficult job and even more impressed by their ability to succeed.

We needed to make sure anyone who has had our keys are not able to get in our house anymore, safety issues, and decided to change the knobs entirely and use the keyless version with dialpads. As it is a safety issue, I needed a locksmith right away. They came within a two hour window after I made the call, worked super fast, super efficient, and compassionate considering our condition. Highly recommended.
