We purchased a used car that didn't have the original fob key. The dealership could make us one but it would cost $249 for the key and $350 to program it to the car. McGuire was able to cut and program a new fob key for around $120 and had it done in 10 min. Highly recommend the skilled craftsmen at McGuire.

These guys know there business! There good at what they do! I give good reviews to people who deserve. This company deserves it! I needed 3 ebike keys for turning the battery on the bike. They cut a key, asked us to bring the key home and try it. Low and behold we brought the key home and it worked perfectly. Came back for 2 more keys. If McGuire couldn't do it it would've cost 60.00 for those 3 keys to be cut by the ebike company. McGuire has very reasonable prices on there keys. We will be back to get keys made from them. Amazing service! 5 minutes and 2 dollars for a key copy. Key was copied from the specs for toyota, rather than off of my worn down key, super excellent value and service!

Fast and professional. Keys worked the first time they were cut and I was worried because of how worn the originals were. Inexpensive as well. Great company to do business with. I was in and out in literally 5 minutes, and that was with 3 people ahead of me when I walked in. Couldn't be happier.

My first encounter was pleasant. When I called them again to replace a lock, they quoted me a cheaper fee than the one they charged on the spot, claiming that the inset was longer. However, the size of the inset has no bearing on the price, and it was all a ruse. When I asked for a copy card that came with keys, the individual on site tried to claim that it was a particular secure lock because of our door, then backpedaled from the remark.

When we asked for an explanation about the location, the individual was really unpleasant. This occurred after he had extracted the lock out, putting us in a precarious position. I'm going to avoid that in the future.

The prices for what was presumably a one-minute work made me feel absolutely ripped off. I understand the weekend call-out cost, but not the quote for the easy job. My fault for not reading the reviews and ratings.

Bought new keyfob off Amazon for my car as the originals were starting to not register all the time. They were able to program the new fob and it works great. No more "No key detected". Took all of 20 minutes and was only $40 to program. New fob was under $40, so whole shebang was $80. Much cheaper than having to go to dealership and purchase and program through them. I was locked out of my house so I called McGuire Lock & Safe. They were there within fifteen minutes and got me into my house right away. The technician was friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this company!

My daughter lost her car key and her key fob while out with friends. She has a 12 year old car and when I called the dealer they told me it would be almost $500. I did some research and found Maguires and they told me they could replace it for 70 for the key fob and four for the key. They were awesome, professional and I would highly, highly recommend! If I need any keys or key fobs this will be the only place I would go!

Several visits to this shop and nothing but outstanding service. Quick and polite. I even had a trailer hitch lock on my vehicle but no key. They were able to cut it off and went out of their way to break the rusted insert free. I am a lifelong customer and will only bring my lock and key needs here.

The service was fast. Customer service can be a little bit more welcoming by acknowledge the customers as soon as they walked in since this is a small place. I was waiting for 5 minutes until someone noticed me. They have a lot of keys and know what they're doing. I'll definitely go back.

These guys are awesome. If they can't do it - it can't be done. Had a complicated re-key job with an RV and they fixed and solved it inside of 15 minutes. They seem to have a huge variety of key solutions and talented, skilled and knowledgeable team. I am grateful for their great service.

I would be leary of trusting my security or the security of my family with a company that employees someone disbarred for sexaul assault and who is member of an outlaw biker gang. I broke my key off in my trunk. Of course it is the type of keys that have to be programmed and are chipped and so on. I was afraid of the cost of replacement, the cost of getting the key out of the trunk, and just the cost of everything made me anxious. McGuire took care of everything. They came in under the estimates of the other companies I called. And McGuire made me feel more comfortable than any of those other companies. This is why I will always recommend McGuire.

Looked across town for someone to make a duplicate motorcycle key and no one could/would do it. Came here and was greeted promptly in a friendly way. It was probably twenty perhaps thirty seconds on the outside he had the duplicate up on the counter ready to go. Well worth doing business here.

Bad service, bad attitudes, incorrect parts. Waste of time to tell me they didn't want to do it when they could.

Whoa. I just feel like I got scammed. The technician removed a broken key in my door lock. He made 3 replacement keys and gave us bad advice. He told me I would have to replace a $200 lock set because the handle was messed up. After he charged us $133, for 3 keys and 30 minutes, I discovered he was holding the handle upside down the whole time. Not cool. Never again.

My first visit was a year ago. Yup, they made the key, but it was sooo expensive. Plus, they were rude and not interested in my business at all. Definitely not midwest hospitality to say the least. I then contacted them for my commercial building. Twice, they were so rude, didn't follow instructions, and harassed my colleague to the point she asked him to leave. Seriously, if you're in business, be nice.

Great customer service. Took my Corbin seat in to get the lock replaced and he was able to cut keys from my original lock. Fast, knowledgeable and very pleasant. Will use again.

McGuire lock and safe has a new customer for life. We had an ignition switch stop working on an '03 Pontiac. First they hooked me up with a new key cut to factory specs very quickly and reasonably priced at their shop, but the key did not fix the issue. The key was cut properly, it just wasn't the problem. They told me when I was taking the key that if the switch needed repair they could do that too.

Once we found the key was not the problem I called back and requested them come out to the car and fix the switch. Nate came out the same day and is a car lock wizard! He had the ignition tumbler out in 5 mins. Found stuck wafers in the lock causing our issues. Replaced all the wafers, cleaned everything and had it back in the car working like a dream in 30 minutes. Nate was friendly, on time and amazing!

Their ability to perform this service saved me at least $500 since I was looking at towing it to a mechanic to get it fixed otherwise. If you have any lock related issues, definitely give McGuire first crack.

I got my gmc blanks online. Took them there to be cut. No complaint about the blanks not being sold by them. Cut the two blanks in less the five minutes and only charged me $4 for the job. Also they work with modern vehicle transponder key. They are good as and the prices was great!

I had a very bad experience with a different locksmith in KC a couple of years ago. I foolishly chose that one from its full page advertisement in the Yellow Pages. I was clearly ripped off. So this time I checked carefully before trying a different one. I saw the five star rating of McGuire on Yelp, and I saw that McGuire is top rated on Angie's List. I was very happy with McGuire. In the future, I'll stick with McGuire Lock & Safe and will ignore the paid Yellow Pages advertisements.
