Cintron came to the rescue! A set of our house keys went missing. We needed to change three locks. No new hardware. Nothing fancy. Just three locks changed. My wife found online a local "locksmith, " who quoted $20 for the callout. $22 per lock (x3 locks). $90, 'ish, right? When the guy came (well after the agreed upon appointment time), he quoted me nearly $500.
A great departure from the previous quote. He said we needed new deadbolts, knobs, the works. After I explained I only needed the existing locks re-keyed he said "it does not work like that." Well, it does.and that is all I needed. He attempted to show me hardware I could purchase through them. I showed him the door, and called Cintron. I have visited their store in the past to have copies made of rare and obscure keys. Always, without issues.
I spoke to a very nice woman on the phone who secured me an appointment for the same day. She asked me to describe my keys, and asked me how many copies I will ultimately need. Trey was sent to my home and re-keyed the locks. He also had with him the needed keys I previously described on the telephone. The work was done for $171. Much better than the $500 quoted by a competitor. Trey was polite, knowledgeable and explained in great detail the pricing-structure and process for the re-key. Many thanks to Trey and Cintron!

We had a pool cover key (rather unusual) that broke in half and therefore needed to be replaced. My son went over to Cintron to get a new key made, unfortunately the technicians were all out on calls, so we did have to make a second trip. Had we called before going, we certainly would have saved ourselves some time and a trip. However, I went back today and received excellent service.
They took my broken key, searched their exhaustive selection of key blanks, and created a new key from the pieces of mine. This was all done in a matter of minutes and for a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend using Cintron for your locksmith needs.

This reviewer is awarding a one-star rating for the location and limited parking. This locksmith recently vacated its Fairfax County location and moved to its Wheeler Avenue location in the City of Alexandria. Be sure to have a map app on your I-phone before you visit or you will be on a quest to find the place. The business has assigned parking spaces, so be sure you park your motor vehicle in a space marked "Cintron."

This safe and lock shop has everything. If they don't have the key blank you need they'll order it or you can bring your own in. They also have a good assortment of safes and low to high end locks. It feels like an old, familiar shop, unchanged since they opened (there may be some super old dusty packages of keychains still on the racks). Reminds me of going to True Value with my dad as a kid. The staff is also very friendly and knowledgeable.
