Master Key & Lock

Called was put on hold for 45 sec and told that they had no one that could help me.

I went in to have my truck topper key copied. I was worried that they wouldn't have the blank.but they did.saving me a lot of time and money re-keying the lock! They even went above and beyond and drilled a hole in my broken key so I could attach it to my keyring. This place has excellent customer service and the folks behind the counter know what they're doing!

This is a really good website I consider working there myself actually it's rarely good and it seems to be a universal site that everybody can use

Went in to the store.ono one in sight.i yelled nothing stood in there store 10 plus mins yelled again nothing.went to my car sat there 10 mins looking in. i didnt see anyone. So i left.

Critical: Value Took in an ignition to have a key made for it. I was told that they couldn't find the correct blank. I was able to find it on Amazon. After I got my ignition back home the front of the lock was bent up like someone had pried on it and the key that was with the lock was twisted. Very disappointing and I will not return. Ask the price before getting the service! I have used Master Security Center for years, even when their shop was on Broadway. They installed 5 security doors for us many years ago. I have had good luck with the duplicate keys they have made, $3.87 each (a fare charge). BUT, this past week I was in to have an old lock rekeyed (I had the old and new key) and was charged $25.00!

I should have asked what it would cost beforehand, but did not because I never thought it would be $25. Had I known, I would have gone down to Home Depot and bought a brand new "self keying" deadbolt! Word to the wise: ask what the cost will be before requesting the service. I will now think twice before going back.

Awesome experience thanks to Brandi who cut and programmed a 2017 subaru forester blank key I bought on Amazon and brought in. This place charged me a fraction of the price their competitors quoted me over the phone. Subaru dealer wanted $400, only $50 at Master security center. Also this shop has a cool taste of the past with lots of old safes to look at while waiting.

Master security changed a deadbolt for me when I moved. Although quite pricey, they did a good job. I asked the locksmith who changed the deadbolt about pricing for a matching doorknob. He told me he didn't know the pricing off-hand but would call me back with that info. He never called back. I called Master Security twice to follow-up on this and they told me both times that the locksmith that came out (Eugene) was the person who needed to call me back, since he was the person who installed the deadbolt and knew what hardware I needed. I never received a return phone call and there was never any follow-up from Master Security. Very disappointing and very unprofessional.

Great help. They get the job done fast. They are very polite and try to help any way they can. This is the second time I have had a key emergency. They had the solution that I needed. In will be back for any lock, key or door issue in the future.

Master Security is a local locksmithing company within walking distance of our house. When our garage was recently burglarized the thieves got away with a house key. One of my neighbors recommended them and I headed down there, very upset by what had happened. On their recommendation we ended up going with a multi-lock key and Emtek hardware for installing new hardware for our entire house.

That combination was fairly new to them and they ended up having some back and forth with these companies, but were very persistent until they found a solution that worked perfectly integrating the two different pieces of hardware (cylinder and doorknobs). The results are beautiful looking and we feel like we have a really terrific and beautiful, unpick-able solution that we expect will stand the test of time. I recommend Master Security Center unreservedly and wholeheartedly! You may need to be patient to get a solution like ours, but it's well worth the wait.

When I came in to the store, a man at the counter told me that they could provide the service I needed. I had to cut a key for the car and I brought it with me. He took it in to the machine and ruined it. Then he said that the quality of the key metal was not good enough. Right after I left Master Security Center, I stopped by another ''locksmith'' store and workers told me that the quality of the key is ok and the problem was with the machine at Master Security Center, which was not calibrated properly. I am feeling so sad that the Master Security Center worker was not brave enough to tell me that he screwed up or at least apologize.

Went in for some keys duplicated. Considerably cheaper than Ace for auto key duplication. I've also had house keys duplicated in Lowes and got copies that didn't work. The duplicated from here worked great. The pricing was very fair and I was in and out of the place in less than 10 minutes. Support local.

Englewood Lock and Safe referred me here when they couldn't program the chip car key I purchased on Amazon. Master one upped my expectation and brought what I expect to be a universal programming computer out to my car and added the new key to my car instead. If I buy another blank car key online, will definitely go back. Per the other reviews, it does appear that the place closes early frequently. I would call before heading over there.

I've been here twice both times on Fridays around 3PM. The first time, the business was completely closed up despite the hours being posted of Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM. The second time I arrived, I was told that even though the locksmith is normally around only until 4PM (even though the business hours are for an hour longer) she skipped out early for the weekend. Going to get my work done elsewhere.

Any time I need key assistance I will be sure to go to Master Security. I brought my 2011 Titan here to make a copy of the microchip key and remote. When making a copy wasn't as straight forward as it needed to be, they were willing to troubleshoot in order to figure out how to get the job done. Additionally, when the act of making a copy deprogrammed my original, they were efficient at getting the problem fixed for me.

I definitely need to counter the bad review as I have used Master regularly for two years (2013-2015). Jeanine is the woman who helps me at their retail counter, rekeys my numerous locks at my work, and comes within minutes to my shop when I have an emergency. The other woman who is there when she is not is also extremely knowledgeable, pleasant and helpful. I imagine this is a mom and pop shop & it's a pleasure doing business with them. thanks

2 1/2 weeks of calling this place to see if I could get someone out so that I could install key card lock services and NO ONE WILL DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. Bad business and very unprofessional.
