So I went to home depot after calling them to ask I'd they can cut keys they said yes they could. They put the key in the machine and it said it was a car key which it is not. It s mailbox key. So I left Home Depot and drove to st paul Kat Keys and they made me three keys in about two minutes. I should of went there first they can do anything. Super fast service always with a smile

Came out to give a bid on a large project. waited weeks and no contact. Reached out to them, promised a call back, then nothing. Disappointed. Must not want/need the work. Could at least call and say so. Will not ever consider using them. Referrals in our sector will reflect this.

My wife and I have used them when we first moved in. We were able to make copies of our keys no problem. However, when I went today at 11am to make copies for our cat sitters, the man who came to the counter looked at me and then my keys and said "I need a letter of authorization". I explained I've made copies with them in the past and other places, and have never had to show letter of authorization. He says nothing and just says I need a letter. Neither was a "Do Not Copy". Sounds like someone was way too lazy because it was an hour before close. Never using them again!

Classic small business storefront located in downtown Saint Paul. Kats seems to be family operated and some of the family members may be more known for their customer service than others, but all of them were willing to help, and were knowledgable in their craft. I purchased a gun vault from Kats and got way more of an education from the employees than I was able to get at Cabelas.

Their prices were also comparable to the big boxstore, even with the higher quality levels. The final endorsement I can offer came from another area locksmith who didn't have the type of vault I was looking for. He offered only one recommendation. Kats Keys.
