Quite simply, he is the 21st century Houdini. Who knew that you didn't have to go to a car dealer to replace a programmable key? Dude was very professional and he was in and out in less than half an hour. Highly recommend.

Houdini came to my house after I accidentally threw away my car key, verification process was quick to prove the car was mine and he promptly went to work making a new key. Very fast and friendly service, payment was quick and easy. Highly recommend them if you need some keys made quickly!

I'm not HAPPY WITH CUSOTMER CARE ONE BIT. IM CURRENTLY RENTING A CAR. THIS IS DUE TO MY CAR NOT BEING DONE PROPERLY. For one I thought it was the key didn't unlock my doors, and I had the exact key #, he couldn't use the first system to program key. Two days after I get in my car alarm is going off, start it still going off, drove the car to nearest hardware store 5 miles.

My alarm is going off the entire time. Mind you car is now sitting at the same hardware store since yesterday. Called the guy back and he screamed at me the entire time. 140 new key from this place plus a rental now and still no key for car.

I called the key guy at 9am because I lost my key to the car and we talked for a second and he said he would be there in 45 minutes and I'll be dam if he wasn't there in 45 minutes. Good customer service and did a outstanding job. I would recommend them any day. Thanks guys.

Houdini was incredible. He was timely, polite, and professional. He was able to get me back into my vehicle quickly and helped with a new backup key.

Made an appointment for 9:30am they accepted it is now 2:40pm and I've called 5 time they kept assuring me the technican was on the way, the dispatched center told me they tasked him 3 times to call me with an ETA of when he would show Mattew the technician never called. The lack of communication was ridiculous. I used them before and will never use them again!

Amazing on-time service. Houdini did a fantastic job cutting and programming a second key to a vehicle we just purchased. Fast service, very easy to deal with, returned calls within an hour. I would highly recommend using this service.

I lost my car key on the metro today in my way to the downtown parking structure my car was at (here's to hoping it still resurfaces). Anyway I called around and these guys were the fastest to get back to me. Houdini went above and beyond getting my car open (it was stubborn) and then programming a new key for me. He had to make a few trips to his van because of where my car was in the structure. I really appreciated his help. Highly recommend these guys.

This is just the facts of my interaction with an employee of The Key Guys: I got home from work yesterday and as I'm closing the door to my vehicle, a man in The Key Guys van pulls up to me. There was a young boy of maybe 11 or 12 sitting in the passenger seat of The Key Guys van, buried in his own winter coat. The Key Guy employee rolls down the passenger window, apparently to ask me a question.

He says, "Did you just move in? I saw the house was vacant about six months ago. I thought I saw the landlady walking around here." I reply, "Yep, I rent from my brother." He continues, "Oh, so you rent from your brother then. You must be the [my company's name] guy, what do you do?" (He must have seen my company vehicle that I sometimes bring home and park in the driveway).

At this point I am starting to get creepy vibes and notice the boy sink lower in his seat. "Networking, " I say. "Oh hey, so I'm trying to get people to sign this petition. A petition to get all politicians out of government, " he goes on. "I don't think we should get rid of politicians, " "Why? You're a citizen, what do you think a mayor is?" "A citizen that has to run a city." And then then he dives in on the REAL crazy: "NO!

A mayor is. listen, the corporations. You think Cocaine, methamphetamine are bad, but sugar is gonna kill ya, here hey, look at this, " (he holds up a loose-leaf sheet of notebook paper with an emptied cigarette and a piece of rolling-paper taped to it. He lights the empty cigarette on fire and snuffs it out with his finger, smearing it across the paper leaving a black streak), "See this, that's dirty!" (Then he lights the rolling paper and snuffs that out), "That's clean!" The boy pulled his hoods drawstrings closed.

At this point, I want to leave the conversation and say, "Alright, thanks, " as I wave and turn to leave. He then yells, "You gotta get onboard with Trump! Get rid of these politicians! What do you like Obama?" He starts making a lewd gesture with his closed-fist pumping over his lap, "Obama's legacy, OBAMA'S LEGACY!" He yells. "Okay, goodbye, " I say and turn to walk away.

He drives down the alley and I watch as he comes back up the street and turns away from my house. This man in a decal-wrapped "The Key Guys" van, drove up to a stranger, stated facts showing he had been watching my house and my family, and started a delusional rant. I left the interaction feeling unsafe for my property, for my family, and for that young boy sitting in the passenger seat.

Mind you, I have NO POLITICAL SIGNS in my yard/house/car and I have NEVER SEEN THIS MAN BEFORE. What I can tell you is that I would NOT feel comfortable having this man work the locks on my house, my business, or my vehicle. I had seen The Key Guys vans around town before, never thought twice about them, but I will tell the true story of this interaction with one of their employees for YEARS. The Key Guys hire and employ mentally unstable technicians, do not use this company.

Even thought I ended up not needing their services, my experience here was great. They were friendly, helpful, and very quick to jump into action. The employee Westy was super helpful and kind. Give them a try!

This company was recommended by a co-worker and I was so happy. They came to my office and programmed 2 new fobs for my Honda. Fantastic service and very friendly. Now I'm the one recommending them!

Was super rude to my daughter on the phone because she didn't answer right away. Not necessary to yell at her. Lots of options for keys so stay away from these guys.

No. No. No. I was walking out of Bobby and Steve's auto shop on Washington Avenue in Minneapolis when someone filling his tank asked if I was a government employee, I suppose because I was carrying a FedEx envelope, which he probably mistook for government business. He then tried to continue the conversation by trashing a former governor of Minnesota, but then, without any response from me to the first comment, started trashing Jews, starting with Mike Freeman (Is he Jewish?).

I told him he was a racist and tried to walk away. He persisted. I did say that I'd call the company, but much more important, in light of the Pittsburgh synagogue shootings, the police need to keep an eye on him. I think he said his name is Eric. The company needs to fire him, but that might enrage him so much that he'd fly into very dangerous action.

The guy said he does most of his business with other companies and dealers, though not as often to the general public. But these are the guys! The guy who helped me was professional, friendly, confident, and peppy. My key and remote fob hybrid for my modern car fell off the caribeaner, had me devastated.

This guy was able to fully replace it, change the frequency on my car so the old key wouldn't work, and even gave me a spare standalone key in case something like this happened again! All of this was reasonably priced.

I called on the recommendation of my mechanic after being locked out of my car due to fob failure. My mechanic said I needed to either get new programmed fobs or have a key made for my door (replaced after an accident, with no key.) Called, was told they would call me back in 20 minutes. 3 hours later, I called them. He asked me twice if I had locked my keys in the car, to which the answer was no.

He asked me twice if the car ran, which didn't seem relevant since I was calling a mobile locksmith, but the answer was yes. He said he'd call me in an hour when he arrived. An hour and a half later, I called him, straight to voicemail. I left a message saying I needed to go home and get ready for my second job, and we'd have to reschedule.

Two and a half hours later, he called three times until I answered the phone. Told me he forgot to call me back, but he could do it the next day. I'm lucky I was within walking distance of my house. I can't speak for their service, since I never got to see it. The entire thing took 7 hours.

I needed to have a car key replaced that had broken off in the ignition. I called The Key Guys and they came to my office and had two new keys made within about 15-20 minutes of arriving. The cost was very competitive and was significantly less than what I had paid a few years ago for another locksmith to make a new car key. I was very impressed and would absolutely recommend them to anyone I know.

I could not be MORE impressed by this company! Impeccable service and incredible customer service - which is crazy rare for me to admit. My purse got stolen, along with my only car key fob. They worked with my schedule, showed up at 8am (when they said between 8-10am), super friendly, very quick, and more than half the cost of towing it to the dealer to have them replace the key. SO very happpy I called them!

Do not use these people! I called on a Sunday and they wouldn't quote me a price until they knew what neighborhood I was in. After hearing the price, I told them I would call them back if I wanted to use their service. The guy on the phone would not listen to me and insisted that they would come by later "just in case" we needed help. I insisted that I would call them if their help was needed and he told me that they were working throughout the day and would give a call when they were close. Couldn't have been creepier. Who comes to unlock someone's door unwanted?!

These guys are really awesome! I got my car keys locked in the trunk and got autolocked. They were able to unlock the door within 30 minutes and get the keys out. Also at a very reasonable price.

Very professional, quick and easy service. I've used The Key Guys twice now, very quick both times. Today I needed new keys for a Honda and a Mazda. The Key Guy came to my house in a really nice looking van and was able to make both keys in less than 30 minutes.

absolutely outstanding company! I called them to help me with an issue on my truck lock and the guy who answered the call was very professional, helpful, friendly, and happy to help. He gave my phone number to an associate that was working on someone else's lock that was closer to me so I wouldn't have to wait so long, which I really appreciated. The guy gave me updates regularly so I would know when he would be here and when he arrived he was really friendly and worked hard to get it done in time for us to leave when we had to.

The price I paid was excellent and he even gave me a copy so I wouldn't run into the same problem again. I highly reccomend The Key Guys and they will be the only ones I will call if I ever need keys or help with locks again. Thank you guys! Wanted a spare key cut for my car. Called the Dealer and was surprised at the cost. Called the Key Guys and they beat the price and came to me. Now that is what I call great service.

We scheduled an appointment but he was available earlier so he called to see if I was around. I was and he was at my house within 20 minutes. He made me a new key fob within about 30 minutes, had me test every part, including the newly cut key, keyless entry, and car start. He was very friendly and even taught me how to use the key fob if the battery dies.

Their price was about $100 less than the dealer was going to charge me and another company that makes key fobs told me that only the dealer could program for a 2012 Prius but they were incorrect. The Key Guys did it. I would definitely use them again if I needed a key fob.
