I have had many keys made here over the years for the four buildings I service in Chelsea and Long Island City as a Facilities Manager. Had two extra keys made for a building I don't get to regularly in LIC. Finally went to try the Medeco M3 keys and they don't work. Took them back to the store after one month and was told I should have checked them immediately and they can't help me. They're stamped from your store - were very clearly made at your store. They should have been re-cut with no questions asked. Very poor service - you've completely lost my business.

SOS Locksmith was attentive to my any lock repair needs. He gave me low cost and higher cost options. He guarantees the work for 2 years. The lock repairs were a bit more expensive than other locksmiths but he completed the job on the same day right on the spot. I will recommend SOS Locksmith for future lock repairs.

Needed to make a set of keys quickly and they were super helpful - quick and great price! 100% recommend for any lock/key needs. They also stock key chains, lanyards, large locks - anything you need. Extremely efficient! He came in, installed the locks within 20 minutes, and cleaned up! Highly recommend.!

I broke my key in my lock on Sunday. The locksmith was able to come the next day which was a huge relief. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Without any extra charge he fixed the door frame which was the original problem. Went above and beyond what I expected and was fairly priced. Professional and quality service.

The tech who came was the first to respond to my request and I am totally satisfied with his work. He was on time and a professional which is rare for South Florida. He was able to install the lock which required some additional work. I would recommend A-Best for any of your locksmith needs. The locksmith came within 15 minutes to help me because I got locked out. Was very professional and helped me get into the building promptly. He was very friendly and thoughtful, doing it as fast as possible given how cold it was outside that day. Can't recommend him highly enough! Definitely will call him again for future locksmith needs.

I called SOS Locksmith after looking through Google local services. The technician told me he will arrive within 15 minutes and boy did he! He arrived within 12 minutes to be exact and opened the vehicle in even less time than that. The technician was professional, efficient, and very experienced. Really great service. Nir came to my apartment to install a bolt top lock for my new apartment. He was very knowledgeable and kind and made sure everything was working as it should before he left. My new apartment did not come with a top lock and SOS Locksmith and Nir have made me feel so much safer about being in my new place. Highly recommend!

Both experiences with SOS were outstanding and professional. I had to change a door cylinder and they came out on an evening after work and expertly changed the lock in less than 5 minutes! I had extra keys made for the lock and though the key cutting machine had a glitch that day, it was fixed the next day and he called me personally to pick up the set of keys. They are so friendly and accommodating, I highly recommend them and will come back again.

Awful customer service, dishonest and expensive. I left a deposit to order a new lock for my apt door. Guy promised to call me the following day with the final cost. He never called. I stopped in the following day, but he wasn't there. I called a number of times but he never returned a single phone call. I emailed him and asked about the pricing, timing and metal finish.
After one week he got back to me over email and said it will cost more than $200 his initial estimate and said it will take two weeks. I told him not to order the lock and instead refund my deposit. He refused and told me never to come into his store again. Stay away from SOS locksmith!

The quality of the work was fine. No problems there. I was told nothing about costs. I scheduled an appointment to have locks changed, and I believe I was charged for an emergency visit. For a new deadbolt and key set, and a locksmith showing up, I got charged $550. For a deadbolt that might cost $100. What upset me: there was NO GESTURE on SOS's part to inform me what I would cost to have someone come over.
If I am being dumb on the phone, they should have the COURTESY to inform me of the cost, at least some sense of cost. I don't recommend them for their service - just a mean, grubby steal. The storefront is fine, Stephen is a hoot at the front counter!

I went to the hardware store to get some keys made. They were closed. But a couple doors down, I saw SOS. What a great shop! As friendly and courteous as can be. And really good at what they do! Noticed that I had limited vision and went out of their way to provide keys that I could identify by touch. That was so helpful! Took the keys home and all 4 worked perfectly. That is often not the case elsewhere. I highly recommend this shop.

I always love it when I get a great service from a local family business that's been around as long as these guys. Established in 1973, these guys truly are experts and are up for any locksmith related challenge. They installed new locks all around my apartment and were very reasonable with pricing. They are also extremely efficient, getting to my apartment in under an hour and changing all of the locks under an hour. Premium service and even better that it's a family run local business. Always great to see those thriving.

Had an amazing service! I got locked out of my house and the panic started to kick in. I called these guys and they sent a technician out right away. The guy that arrived was very professional and knew exactly what to do. The service took about 20 minutes and I was back in my house safe and sound! Highly recommended

Great locksmith place! Decent price range, good service nice but not over friendly and really efficient. 24 hours and although small it's great. Not too hard to find and it's walkable from the 1 train and sine bus stops. Further down but still walking distance from the orange lines or the PATH. The same key that I made a copy at Home Depot didn't work (made 3, one which is the more complicated one compared to the two others didn't work, the rest did.) so I found this one and thankfully the cutting was good it worked.
I do recommend this one, save you from if they work wasn't done properly and going to find another place and wasting money and time. Just go to this place, it's good.

I have personally used this company last month to help change the lock on my front door, unfortunately my house was broken into while I was out with my boys, and I had gotten home at 4 in the morning and found my door wide open with my furniture thrown all over the place... long story short I was thankful that this company had 24/7 emergency services. they came quickly and was fast, they were very helpful as well. thank you guys once again

Before we move into our new apartment we wanted to have the locks changed so we called SOS. They sent a very nice guy who showed us several different security key options and had the locked changed without any issues in less than an hour. The cost was fair and they came at the time we scheduled them to arrive.
