And a bonus: he didn't blink about using his power drill to help me install a baby gate : The scheduling over the phone was clear and professional as well. Recommended!

You call any company, what do you unfortunately expect more and more these days? Delays getting a human voice (if any ever answers!); people from abroad who do not understand your needs nor your address; exasperated staff; delays in getting service. What a surprise, what a pleasure, and what a feel good service I was given with Monaco Lock in Jersey City when I called them today!

A quick response to the call (about two rings only); a pleasant voice clearly stating what they could do for me; a prompt dispatch. And the professional who came to solve the issue (being locked out of the house!) was patient, caring, understanding and so efficient - even getting me extra pointers to void the same issue to occur! No word is too great to review them. And the cost? Unbeatable!

I had 4 locks rekeyed by them recently. The gentleman who arrived to work on the locks worked efficiently and communicated effectively. There was one lock that was a bit problematic (crappy builder grade stuff), but he brought it back to the shop, did whatever needed to be done, and came back a couple hours later to reinstall the lock. The man who answered my initial call and provided the quote was also helpful and accommodating. Thank you both!

Came home from traveling over New Year's to find that my key would keep spinning in the lock to my front door instead of opening it, and the landlord mentioned having a similar issue about a year ago. I called Monaco and they were able to come out right away. Scot and Eddie were both excellent, punctual, professional, efficient, and thorough. Scot quickly got me back into my home and diagnosed an issue with the saddle that was stressing the door and making the lock mechanism prone to malfunctioning, and Eddie followed up a couple of days later to fix the saddle and an issue with the hinge that was causing the door to catch.

They both worked very efficiently which resulted in a reasonable bill. Now, the door finally opens and closes smoothly and without any noise, which had not been the case since our building had the doors to all units a couple of years ago. I highly recommend Monaco for anything related to locks and doors!

I needed a mortise lockset installed on my exterior set of double doors that are very old. I researched a number of lock companies and quickly realized that not every locksmith is experienced in installing mortise locks although they claim to be. When I came upon Monaco Lock Co., and explained my situation, the owner replied quickly and said that she would have Ismael, one of their techs who has experience in mortise locks, come to my home to assess the job and follow up with a quote.

After I met Ismael, I knew he had the experience and knowledge to do the job correctly. He came back to do the install a few days later and I cannot commend the quality of his work enough. Mortise work, especially on an old door, is a time consuming process which often involves a lot of custom work, but instead of rushing the job, he worked patiently and diligently for several hours until the lockset was professionally installed as it was meant to be. Everyone I worked with, from my initial through to the service itself, was super friendly and helpful. They talked me through the services to make sure I got the right one and quoted me upfront so I understood all the costs clearly. Very impressed with how professional, friendly and effective they were. Fixed the door to our roof deck which has been very difficult to open and close and the handles were coming apart. Highly recommended.

If you're looking for an honest, friendly, pro-active, and professional locksmith Monaco should be your first choice, you second should be to ask for Eddie when you call. He's on the ball! He rekeyed, and installed two custom (custom locks) deadbolt locks, including having to drill through the door. He was very aware of making sure that the locks matched the design of the door and matched the preexisting door knob. It's these types of details and caring for the work he performs that make Eddie so good at his job. Plus he has a very calm and kind hearted demeanor which is helpful!

Eddie and the team at Monaco Lock are top notch. We had them replace the entire door actuator, and mechanism for our apartment building and could not have been happier with the quality and the level of service provided. Eddie from Monaco Lock had to wrangle with our lock, spending 3 diligent hours rather than the 1 hour. Because it was an unexpectedly long lock repair, he charged us for 2 hours work instead of 3 hours. I can't recommend him enough.

Terrible service, I was locked out of my apt and was told there could a technician could get to my house in 30 minutes. 30 minutes later I got a call from a company that said they just received the job and would be there in 25 minutes. 30 minutes later, after many calls, I was finally told that the technician got a flat tire and they would send another technician that would get there in, you guessed it, 30 minutes. Found a local company that sent someone in 15. Will never use this company again.

Monaco Lock is as good as it gets. Big thanks to Ed who came out. Ed came by promptly at the time we set up and changed 3 different set of locks (2 with deadbolts) and made numerous copies. He went above + beyond and also helped us secure a window that was not properly aligned and gave us good tips to prevent any window burglaries. All the work took no longer than 2 hours and the price was very fair.

Awesome people. I bought a house in JC and they re locked, re keyed and gave me 5 copies of the key in less than 1 hour. The guy who they sent Michael is super nice and quick. Total cost for me was about 200 even.

Fast, accommodating, quality service. Monaco is as good as it gets in my book. They offer same day appointments and do their best to work with your schedule. If your need is urgent they can definitely accommodate you. I called this morning and they were to our apartment 20min later to replace our broken deadbolt. They are very honest as well. No push for an up charge.

No unnecessary repairs or replacements. The locksmith that came out for us this time made sure our deadbolt couldn't be repaired before suggesting we purchase a new one. I'd make them your first call for any locksmith needs.

I needed a deadbolt for my newly purchased apt. Called Monaco and they said they could install it that afternoon. The tech came on time and quickly installed the lock cleaned up the mess and was done in 30 minutes. The tech, Brian, was very nice and courteous. Perfect. Price was not cheap but was what I expected. I definitely recommend Monaco Luck.
