Never seen a locksmith that can't make keys. Went twice and house keys still not correct. Save your time and money try Homedepot.

Went there to get a key cut and programmed for my 2008 Lincoln Navigator and experienced great service. Was in and out in 15 min. Great customer service and they support the military! Would go back again!

I came in to get a small fire proof key replaced for a personal safe. Wow a lady exiting the building ask me did they take care of me. Her beening concerned really welcomed me. The entire staff were attentive to my needs. If you have any needs in the lock business. Please try ALFORD!

I've been doing business with Alford Safe and Lock since the early 1990's, and I've always been impressed by their service. They have actual locksmiths who can resolve all your lock issues. I've had them come to my house on several occasions to repair, rekey, or replace locks, and they are always responsive and courteous. They also sell and install high quality locks and security accessories.

In addition, they also make keys that work the first time. They have a great store and showroom on Government Street where you can go to get keys made or buy other products. They also sell safes of many sizes and types, and these are on display in their showroom. Rather than try to buy discount security hardware at a big-box store, you might want to talk to some actual experts who can make sure you and your belongings are protected. Alford is the place I would absolutely recommend you check with for all your lock needs!

Great service! Fast and friendly! Got a new key and remote for my car and they even checked to make sure it worked before I left! Great job guys!

Excellent service! The technician came out within 2 hours of my initial call. He assessed the problem, told me the cost and got the job done. The job took 15 minutes and he serviced the rest of the locks in the house. He left after approximately 30 minutes! The cost was reasonable and worth every penny. I won't hesitate to call them again!

I dropped into have keys made and these folks are so nice. Polite, friendly and helpful. I am a firm believer in having keys made by an expert. Have you ever purchased a key at a big box store and had it not work? Well, that rarely happens at a locksmith and DID NOT HAPPEN HERE (and locksmith's stand by their keys). And they have cool keys too!

One of the workers at the shipping center told me a story of his dad bought a gun safe from Alford Safe and Lock 35+ years ago. Last year it got messed up and Alford's drive an hour to fix it because it was still under warranty. Wow!

Honda civics have a little known issue with the key and the ignition. After a certain point the ignition just won't let you put the key in, once you finally fight with it and get it in, it runs just fine, but you DO NOT WANT TO TAKE THE KEY OUT because well then you can't get your key put back in. This is the case with the Honda I am writing about.

The ignition was dropped and brought here to be be repinned and key reprogrammed. Paid $176 which isn't outrageous, picked up the ignition, reinstalled it and it cranks BEAUTIFULLY! Did a great job no complaints at all. So why the 2 star rating? The key that was returned has no chip!? Without the chip you can crank the car no problem, but soon as you put it in drive the antitheft feature comes on and kills the engine.

Ok very inconvenient and annoying, but hey mistakes happen. Went and spoke to them and they first said that something was done to the chip after delivery, THEN changed it and said that the key has to chip. Seriously? Just to prove my point please see the snap shot provided that mentions that the key DOES INDEED have a key. Even my 2001 Malibu had a chip in the key.

So here we are, an ignition that was repinned beautifully but no key to drive it. Mistakes happen all I want is for them to take responsibility and fix the issue. Maybe they lost it, or broke the chip, hey not the end of the world, but please do the right and professional thing and get a key made that works. I am not saying don't use this locksmith, just ask LOTS of questions before having them do the work so you know what's going on.

I got the rudest treatment ever. As soon as I walked in, you could have heard a pin drop. They acted very hesitant as if they really didn't want to help me. I hate to pull the race card, but it seemed to be because I'm black. I talked to a friend after leaving the place and he said that he received the same treatment when he went there for something.

The older woman who rang me up was SO sweet though. I wish everyone in there would have acted like her. How about treating everyone like humans. If you don't want to help other races, you might want to go to another area.

Amazing service, friendly staff, cool-looking facilities! I absolutely loved this place and will be back to have keys copied. They have the coolest and cutest key designs along with great prices. We called around to get prices at other establishments, and this was the best price we found. How awesome that the service was so good, too! Being new to the city, I love finding places like this that make me feel valued and welcomed as a customer! Definitely coming back.

A phone call to this very old established lock company created a visit to my home to change A combination lock for me. The young man who came to my home was extremely polite and extraordinarily knowledgeable. He has worked for Alford for 13 years and his satisfaction with the company definitely shows. I will definitely use this company again in purchasing locks for an addition.

Went to get some dead bolt locks rekeyed. They looked at my locks and said no problem. They rekeyed 4 in less than 25 minutes, great price, great service. Thank you, great job.

Been loyal customer for business for 18 years. Professional, prompt and knowledgeable. Not once had to bring a key back because a copy would. Not work unlike the bargain store.

These guys are conscientious and knowledgeable about what they are doing. They are one of the few places that DO NOT make copies of keys that say "do not replicate." Unless you can prove you are the owner. Thanks for doing consistent work!

I always get the sense that the employees here are stuck in a time loop from 1998 and that I'm interrupting their escape. They make really great keys though.

As of business owner of 4 salons in Baton Rouge, I went in to get copies of a key made. The staff would not allow me, the owner to get copies of a key. I appreciate them into pushing me to find a new lock smith that rekeyed and gave me several copies of keys to my salon.

This is an old line lock and safe company. It's been in business forever. They also make excellent key copies.
